Schedule of Upcoming Events:

November 5– First Christmas Play rehearsal

November 10– Parents’ Night Out 6:00-8:30

November 14– Informational Meeting for Once-A-Month Cooking Club: This is new for FPC parents- we hope you might want to come and help us determine the best way to set up this program to suit families best. The goal for each gathering would be to prepare meals that can be frozen ahead- for busy nights, for families who need a little time back in the evenings, or for friends that could use a helping (delicious?) hand.

November 18– Work Day, come help us spruce up the Children’s Wing

November 29– Gingerbread House Night! 6:00pm An annual favorite for families, and a very popular Wednesday night at FPC! Plan to join us- it’s a *sweet* night to be together 😉

December 8– Parents’ Night Out 6:00-8:30

December 17– Christmas Play with light refreshments following

December 24– ONE worship @ 10:30am in Sanctuary- then families might choose to deliver cookies to our community friends who have to work on Christmas Eve. More information is coming about this newest tradition- keep your eyes and ears out!

Let’s Share a Sheep!

Bring an offering to Sunday School each week so we can buy a sheep for a family in need. Heifer International is an incredible nonprofit helping lift families out of poverty. For just $120 the children of First Presbyterian Church can buy a sheep! We need your help- baaaaaaaa-dly!

*Update: As of 10/29, we have raised $18.32 toward our goal! Keep it up, everyone!

Kids’ Time at FPC Wednesdays are great! We are learning about the attributes of God while observing some cool science experiments. So far we have learned that God is loving, omniscient, and omnipotent. Elementary school students can join us on Wednesdays after the fellowship dinner for a fun learning time.
Learning about God Do you know that Jesus loves you?We ask this question of the children God has given to our care. We ask it whenever we teach them. We want them to know: God loves you. Jesus Christ is Lord of the whole universe, and he can handle anything that comes your way. God will be there for you. No matter where you go, or what you do, or what you say, God will be there and will love you.All of our children’s educational programs are planned and guided by our Director of Children’s Ministries, Lilly Osborne, assisted by volunteers from our congregation.
Sunday SchoolOur Sunday school uses a traditional classroom method of teaching. Teams create multisensory activities to teach the Bible to children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Classes are formed around specific age and school grade brackets, with the same teacher present for a semester or a full year.Preschool class is also lovingly taught year-round in a stable setting.
Wednesday Night KidsThrough most of the school year, we have active and vibrant Bible study for children at 6:00 p.m., after our Wednesday evening fellowship dinner. This time is filled with hands-on learning activities, games, songs, and Bible truths.
Nursery Our youngest worshippers receive God’s word in the loving setting of our nursery. Our caregivers are certified in CPR and first-aid for our children’s safety.
Music Programs Our children are invited to join any of many programs conducted by our Directors of Music Ministries, Vicki and Steve Fey. They include the Cherub Choir (ages four through first grade) and the Savior’s Singers and Children’s Handbells choirs (second through fifth grades). See the Music page for details.

Volunteers Needed!

We are in need of help! Kids’ Kirk, Sunday School and our Christmas Play need volunteers! See Lilly about when and where to be a part of the fun!

Studio 252

The movies we get to *sometimes* show here at FPC have been a fabulous addition to our ministry and worship. Click on the link to watch with family for good laughs and (possibly?) even better discussion in our modern, busy world. Studio 252’s approach to scripture can be funny, thoughtful and inspiring! Check them out in the link!
