All teachers and volunteers have been background checked. In addition, we have two teachers in the nursery and in the Sunday School classrooms when possible. If there is only one teacher in the room, the door will remain open and a volunteer will be floating in the hall.

There are many engaging opportunities here at First Presbyterian church for children.

Sunday Worship Services

During both worship services (9:00 and 11:00) on Sunday mornings, children ages 4-2nd grade are dismissed to "Kids' Kirk" before the sermon for age appropriate lessons. Nursery is available for ages birth-3 years during both worship services.

Sunday School

We provide Sunday School classes for all children ages 3-5th grade between the services; 10:20-10:50.

We provide Sunday School classes for nursery, 3s and 4s, Kindergarten and First, Second and Third. All nursery and children's classes are devoted to teaching children to grow in the knowledge and faith in Jesus Christ, using gospel centered curriculum.

Fourth and Fifth grade (Fusion) have their own programming for Sunday School along with monthly social gatherings.

Wednesday Nights

On Wednesday evenings we gather together as a church for a meal at 5:30. Following the meal children are dismissed for age appropriate learning time. Classes are available for nursery, Preschool-First grade, and Second-Fifth grade.

Along with our regular programming on Sundays and Wednesdays, we have special programs annually and periodically.
